Katie and Kevin Love, Part II

A question I get asked a lot is whether Katie still likes Kevin Love now that he is in the NBA and she doesn't really see him that often. Yes, Katie still talks about Kevin. In fact, after one of the games as we were coming home, she sat quiet in the back seat. She finally said, "Mommy, I still miss Kevin".

So Saturday, as we were waiting for my nephew Max to come out of the student store, I happened to turn around and gasp, "Isn't that Kevin Love?". Yes, indeed! He was in town to play the Clippers. Katie was so excited to see Kevin! When he saw Katie, he knelt down and asked her, "Do you remember me?" She excitedly answered "YES!".

Unfortunately, UCLA didn't win this game (should have, but don't get me started!), but we had a great time anyway. My brother-in-law, Barry, and my nephew, Max, went with us to the game, so it was great to spend a little bit of time with them. Here are some pictures taken before the game.

Natural History Museum

Last Friday, I took the kids to the Natural History Museum. I had not visited there in about 15 years, so it was a fun day for me as well. There is so much to look at, but the kids loved the animals the best. Ryan's favorite was the dinosaurs, especially the T-Rex. There was a dinosaur program that lasted about a 1/2 hour. They showed the kids some fossils and greeted the kids with a triceratops puppet (which looked incredibly real). There was so much to see, that we will have to return soon!
