Review of Summer

This summer we took out our new travel trailer and ventured out and about. We started in Ventura, spent the Fourth of July in Lake Tahoe and took a trip in September to Yosemite. We love being able to go where ever we want and spend time as a family!

Underwood Family Farms

Last week we had a field trip to Underwood Family Farms. We had a short lesson on how the pumpkins are grown, went on a hay ride, then got to go and pick our own pumpkins. The best part for the kids is to run around and climb and to feed all the animals.

Goodbye to our Kato

Last Sunday, we had to make the painful decision to put our Kato to sleep. We found out that she had cancer and that it spread. In just the few days that we knew, her health greatly declined. Those last few days of heartbreak, don't replace the 9+ years that we spent with her. Kato had a great life with us. She got to enjoy steak, camping, sleeping on the bed, walks, playing ball and swimming. She was a great doggy and we will miss her!!

Katie's Recital

Katie's hard work in her ballet and tap classes culminated in her recital in June. She had a great two years of dance, but has decided to hang up her shoes for a while.

Promotion

Last Friday was Promotion for APS, our homeschool school. Every student participates and this year was Katie's first year to walk across the stage. The medal the kids are wearing are part of the Presidential Award for Fitness. It was also graduation for the senior class and this year was the largest class ever, 26 kids. Katie's class has 4 kids and Ryan's class has 6 kids, although only 2 showed up. There are a few hundred total in APS.
